Artifact Signing organization validation failed after successful ID check

We submitted Public organization identity validation for Velho Applied Intelligence Oy, a Finnish company, on an Azure Artifact Signing Basic account in North Europe. I completed the emailed verification link and the representative’s personal ID check. The flow explicitly displayed “Verification Successful.” The organization validation later changed to “Failed.” Neither the Azure portal nor the failure email explains which check failed or what to correct.

We supplied the registered legal name, Finnish Business ID, address, website, and two company-domain email addresses. Azure accepted the Business ID only in its digits-only form because the input rejected the usual hyphen. Is that normalization expected, or could it cause a mismatch?

Could a Microsoft Artifact Signing moderator arrange a private review and identify the specific failing check? I can provide the identity validation ID, subscription ID, and supporting evidence through a secure channel. Should we resubmit or wait for review of the existing request? Please do not request identity documents in this public thread.

Our Azure support plan is Basic, so we are using Q&A for this identity-validation question.

    Hi Pate,

Since your personal ID verification was successful but the organization validation later failed, the issue may be with a separate business verification check. A successful identity check does not necessarily mean the entire organization validation has passed.

Regarding the Finnish Business ID, I would not assume that removing the hyphen caused the failure. The validation team would need to confirm whether the submitted number matched the official company records.

I recommend waiting for a review before submitting another validation request. You can ask a Microsoft moderator to help route the case to the Artifact Signing validation team and request clarification on the specific failed check and whether the existing request can be reconsidered.

Even with a Basic support plan, you can ask about the available support route for identity validation. Share your validation ID, subscription details, and supporting documents only through a secure Microsoft support channel.

Thank you, and feel free to respond back for more assistance.
