    Hello,

Welcome to the Microsoft Windows Community.

Good afternoon. Which edition of Windows are you using? To begin with:

    1. Check the Recycle Bin; if you find the file, you can click "Restore." If the Recycle Bin is empty, follow the step below;
    2. If you have OneDrive installed, open it and check if you can find the file in the recycle bin; if so, click "restore."
    3. Press Win+R, paste the command rstrui, and press Enter. Select a restore point with a date prior to the deletion of the video, then click "Next."

Good luck, and please let us know the result.

Try these recovery options in order:

    1. Check the Recycle Bin on the PC.
      • Open Recycle Bin.
      • If the video is there, select it and choose Restore.
    2. If the video was stored in OneDrive, check the OneDrive Recycle Bin.
      • Deleted OneDrive files are kept in the Recycle Bin for 30 days for personal accounts.
      • In the OneDrive mobile app: Me > account > Recycle Bin > select the file > Restore.
    3. If the video came from a phone, check the phone’s Recently Deleted area.
      • Photos and videos taken on a phone may still be available in the camera roll’s Recently Deleted folder.
    4. If the file was deleted from local storage and is not in Recycle Bin, try Windows File Recovery.
      • Important: to improve recovery chances, minimize use of the PC because new activity can overwrite deleted data.
      • Install or open Windows File Recovery.
      • Run it from Command Prompt using this format: winfr source-drive: destination-drive: [/mode] [/switches]
      • Example to recover JPEG and PNG files from Pictures: Winfr C: E: /extensive /n \Users\<username>\Pictures\*.JPEG /n\Users\<username>\Pictures\*.PNG
      • The source and destination drives must be different.
    5. If the video was deleted from an Android device through File Explorer, check the Android folder Recycle bin – Connected device.
      • Files remain there for 30 days.

If the video is no longer in Recycle Bin/Recently Deleted/OneDrive Recycle Bin and no backup exists, recovery may not be possible.
