I have installed Quickbooks Premier Pro on my new HP EliteBook (Windows 11). I keep getting an error message that says I am "Missing PDF Component". I have tried all of the suggested fixed to no avail. I have read lots of comments back to 2020...Is there a fix for this problem? What might I be missing?

Enable Microsoft XPS Document Writer first, then rerun Intuit’s QuickBooks PDF & Print Repair Tool; QuickBooks Desktop on Windows 11 uses the XPS component for this PDF workflow, and Intuit lists this sequence for the exact “Missing PDF component” error.^1^
These changes may require a local administrator account.
Using the current QuickBooks Tool Hub:
This tool specifically covers “Missing PDF file component” and “A component required to create PDF files is missing.”^1^
Check whether Windows protected print mode is active. That security mode removes XPS and other unsupported software printers.^3^
Try printing a simple Notepad document to Microsoft XPS Document Writer:
services.msc for Windows printing failures.^4^Because the earlier fixes were unsuccessful, avoid repeating them indiscriminately. If Tool Hub still fails while the XPS test succeeds, use Intuit’s linked procedure for Temp-folder permissions, followed by Update QuickBooks Desktop and Repair QuickBooks Desktop in that order.^1^ Application repair may also require administrator credentials.
If Windows cannot restore or print through XPS even after the printer troubleshooter, capture the exact Windows error code and Windows version from winver, then escalate as a Windows optional-feature problem. A Windows in-place repair should be treated only as a final Windows-servicing option—not as the initial QuickBooks fix.
