Hi, I'm Bernard. I'm happy to help!

To request or get a refund, kindly follow the steps below:

    Go to: https://account.microsoft.com/services

Look for the Microsoft 365 subscription you have.

Click Manage > select Cancel, then follow the prompts to refund the subscription.

Cancel the Microsoft 365 subscription from the Microsoft account your daughter used to purchase it; the cancellation process will automatically determine whether the recent purchase qualifies for a refund.

    Cancel and request the refund

    1. Open Microsoft account Services & subscriptions.
    2. Sign in with your daughter’s Microsoft account—the account that made the purchase, not the parent account.
    3. Locate Microsoft 365 and select Cancel subscription. Depending on the plan, this may appear as Upgrade or Cancel.
    4. Review the cancellation page and select I don’t want my subscription.
    5. Complete all remaining prompts. The page will state whether the purchase qualifies for a refund and provide the applicable next steps. [^1^](https://support.microsoft.com/accounts-billing/subscriptions/[Subscription ID] "Cancel a Microsoft 365 subscription | Microsoft Support")

For subscriptions purchased directly from Microsoft, the policy says that in most cases a refund may be available within 30 days of the initial purchase or before the first recurring billing date, whichever comes sooner. Not every cancellation results in a refund; eligibility is determined during cancellation. If the cancellation option is missing

    • If the page displays Turn on recurring billing, renewal is already disabled and the subscription will expire on the displayed date. However, because a refund is required rather than merely stopping renewal, use Microsoft’s Contact Support option from the refund-policy page.
    • If the purchase was made through Apple App Store, Google Play, Amazon, or another retailer, cancellation and refund must be requested from that seller rather than Microsoft.
    • If the subscription is not listed, check that the signed-in personal Microsoft account is the exact account used for the purchase. [^3^](https://support.microsoft.com/accounts-billing/subscriptions/[Subscription ID] "Unable to cancel your Microsoft subscription | Microsoft Support")

Cancellation can reduce OneDrive and Outlook.com storage allowances, so check whether any files or mail already exceed the free allowance before completing it.
