For live remote help, use Microsoft support chat and request remote assistance.

    1. Open Microsoft support contact: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus/
    2. Sign in.
    3. In the search bar, type Chat with an agent.
    4. Select Contact support.
    5. Choose the Outlook or Microsoft 365/Office product category.
    6. Start a live chat.

If remote help is needed on the PC, Windows Remote Assistance can be enabled:

    1. Press the Windows key and type remote assistance.
    2. Select Allow RemoteAssistance invitations to be sent from this computer.
    3. On the Remote tab, select Allow Remote Assistance connections to this computer.
    4. Select OK.
    5. Then open remote assistance again.
    6. Select Invite someone to connect to your PC and help you, or offer to help someone else.
    7. Select Invite someone you trust to help you and follow the prompts.

For the Outlook startup issue itself, these are the supported self-service steps:

    1. Run the classic Outlook startup troubleshooter through Get Help.
    2. Start Outlook in safe mode:
      • Press Windows + R
      • Type Outlook /safe
      • If Outlook opens, disable COM add-ins from File > Options > Add-ins > Go
    3. Reset the navigation pane:
      • Press Windows + R
      • Type Outlook.exe /resetnavpane
    4. Create a new Outlook profile and test with that profile.

Warning: if removing an Outlook profile, back up the data files first. Removing a profile deletes offline cached content.
