I have received and have been billed for two subscriptions for Microsoft 365 Personal. I don't need two subscriptions for the one computer that I own. How can I cancel one of these subscriptions and get refunded for the other?

Using any Microsoft account you may have, try using the steps they provide on this link to find out what that extra payment was for.

Then use the steps they provide on this link to cancel whatever that extra payment was for and get a refund.

If both subscriptions were purchased directly from Microsoft, cancel the extra one from Services & subscriptions and the cancellation flow will show whether that subscription qualifies for a refund.

    Steps:

    1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services/microsoft365 and sign in with the Microsoft account that purchased the subscription.
    2. Check whether both Microsoft 365 Personal subscriptions appear there.
      • If only one appears, the other charge may be on a different Microsoft account or from a third party.
    3. Select Manage on the subscription that should be canceled.
    4. Select Cancel. In some cases, the option appears as Upgrade or Cancel.
    5. Follow the cancellation steps on screen. During cancellation, refund eligibility is determined automatically.

    Important checks before canceling:

    • If the subscription was bought through Apple, Google Play, Amazon, or another retailer, billing and refunds must be handled with that provider directly.
    • If Turn on recurring billing appears instead of Manage or Cancel, that subscription is already set to expire and will not renew again.
    • If there is an overdue amount, cancellation might be blocked until the balance is paid.
    • If only one charge appears in Microsoft order history, another Microsoft account using the same payment card may have made the second purchase. The Payment options page includes an Investigate option to search for other accounts using the card.

    Refund policy details:

    • Not all cancellations result in a refund.
    • In most cases, a refund may be available within 30 days of the initial purchase or before the first recurring billing date, whichever is sooner, by canceling the subscription.
    • A refund of the most recent recurring billing charge may also be available if cancellation happens within 30 days after payment. This is limited to one time per Microsoft account, per subscription product.

If the extra subscription cannot be canceled from the account page, check:

    1. The purchase source.
    2. That the correct Microsoft personal account is signed in.
    3. Whether the subscription is already set to expire.
    4. Whether the payment card has expired or there is money owing.

If needed, use Contact Support from Microsoft Support for billing help.
