i want to pay $99 for a yr for personal microsoft

where do i go to get my microsoft working again. i can not sign in. i have my password but doesn't work and now you don't give me option to sign in. i am old and don't understand all the different microsoft products./ please assist

Are you trying to sign in to Microsoft Word or Excel on your computer, or through a website? When you enter your password, do you receive an error message, or does the sign-in window simply disappear? Have you previously paid for Microsoft 365 Personal, and are you trying to renew it, or would this be your first subscription?

Please check whether you can access your Microsoft account outside the Office applications.

Open Microsoft Edge.

Press Ctrl + Shift + N to open a private browsing window.

Visit https://account.microsoft.com.

Select Sign in and try entering your email address and password.

Please let me know what happens.

If the password is correct but sign-in still fails, use the Microsoft account recovery flow:

Select Recover your account.
Enter the email address, phone number, or Skype name used for the Microsoft account.
Make sure the email domain is correct, such as .com vs .co.uk.
If the email is not recognized, try another email alias or phone number that is on the account.
Choose where to receive the security code, select Next, enter the requested information, and select Send code.
Enter the code in Verify your identity.
Set a new password.

If the message says "We couldn't find an account with that username" or "account doesn't exist", use the Sign-in Helper tool.

If the account has not been used for more than two years, it may have been deleted and cannot be reopened.

If the account still cannot be recovered, contact Microsoft Support and explain that the username or password stopped working.

For the Microsoft 365 Personal yearly plan, billing and subscription help is managed from the Microsoft account area after sign-in. If sign-in is blocked, the recovery and support steps above are the supported path.
