Is it that hard for the support team to find an email ID from an invoice?

DO NOT ask me to create a ticket, I have done that already and the support person assigned is trash. They are just repeating same thing and trying to delay the process so that I get charged every time and keep paying for their services. It has been over 2 months and they are not able to resolve the issue. In the meantime, I got charged twice for those 2 months. Totally unacceptable. Wasn't expecting such customer service from a company like Microsoft.

I received an invoice which does not belong to my personal email ID. Because when I navigated to my billing section, I couldn't find that invoice neither I can access it. So simply it belongs to another email ID which could be the one I created during my studies or could be while I was working on a hobby project which happened months ago and I don't remember which email was it.

I asked the support person to provide that email address which this invoice belongs to. So I can access the azure account and stop the active subscription and the services associated. They cannot understand this simple thing. They kept asking me to connect with an engineer during working hours 9-5. Guess what, I work 9-5 as well. I don't have access to my personal computer in that time. What do you want me to do? Take a day off just to resolve this issue? Completely BS. Either provide me with the email address or assign someone in the evening or during the weekend hours.

I would appreciate if someone can help me resolve this issue. I can provide the invoice numbers if needed.

The support person assigned is someone from TEKNOWLEDGE GLOBAL LTD. I am not disclosing their name but just want to highlight that their support is trash and completely unreliable.Screenshot 2026-10-13 170149

    Hello Prajval Patel

I’m sorry you’ve been passed between support teams without getting a clear resolution.

Given that you have the invoice IDs and billing details, it is understandable that you expected Microsoft Support to help identify the correct account or route the case to the team that can.

The message in your screenshot indicates that the account currently signed in does not have permission to view these Azure invoices. This can happen when the invoices are associated with:

    • A different Microsoft account or work account
    • Another identity using the same email address
    • A different Microsoft Entra tenant or directory
    • A billing profile for which the current account has no assigned billing role

Please try signing in to the Azure portal using an InPrivate or Incognito window. If prompted, test both the Personal account and Work or school account options. Also select the account icon in the upper-right corner and check Switch directory for any other directories associated with the account.

You can also enter the complete invoice ID in the Azure portal search bar and select View your invoice. If the invoice still cannot be accessed, this will need to be handled through an Azure billing support request because Microsoft Q&A is a public community forum and contributors cannot access billing records or determine the email address associated with an invoice.

When opening or updating the support request, include the invoice IDs, billing number, invoice dates and amounts, the permission-error screenshot, and the support case numbers from your previous contacts.

Ask specifically for the case to be reviewed by the Azure Billing and Subscription Management team to identify the billing account or tenant associated with the invoices.

I understand that this may not be the immediate resolution you were hoping for, especially after the time you have already spent contacting Support.I hope the billing team can now review the information you have provided and resolve the account association directly.
