    Hi Michelle,

At this time, Microsoft has not announced a specific release date for the 2027 Banner Calendar template.

Just a friendly note: this is a user-to-user community forum. As a fellow Microsoft user, I don't have access to Microsoft's internal release schedules, product roadmaps, or future plans, so unfortunately I can't confirm exactly when the 2027 template will become available.

In the meantime, you can periodically check Word > File > New and search for "Banner Calendar" or "Calendar". Microsoft typically updates the template gallery as new calendar templates become available. You may also want to consider one of the community-created calendar-building templates if you need a 2027 calendar before Microsoft releases an official template.

As recommended by Volunteer Moderator Jay Freedman below: https://jay-freedman.info/2027_Calendars.zip

I can’t guarantee the quality, safety, or suitability of any content or software found there. Please review carefully and make sure you understand any potential risks before using it.

If having the 2027 Banner Calendar available sooner is important to you, I'd also encourage you to submit feedback through the Word Feedback Portal. Suggestions submitted there are visible to the product team and are the best way to let Microsoft know about features or templates you'd like to see prioritized in future updates.

Once you've submitted your feedback, feel free to share the link here in the comments. I’ll be happy to upvote it to help bring more visibility.

In the meantime, if you see my replies bring helpful information, please kindly accept it as an answer and vote it up by your original account, which raised this question. Once marked, it will automatically pin to top. As other users will also search information in this community, your valuable vote up will definitely also help other users who have similar queries easily to find the correct channel and useful information more quickly.

I hope this provides enough clarity and helps you stay inform with your current situation.

Thank you for your patience and your understanding. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments on this post so I can continue to support you.

Here is some more information and background.

Microsoft used to have macro-enabled templates that let you set the year or month and have the dates adjust. The information for some Microsoft calendar templates still refers to the Calendar tab. It has vanished, though. They have stopped offering those, perhaps because people were afraid of the macros.

Per Bob Jones, apparently, in the Mac interface, the template named "Calendar" also still contains the macros and the Calendar tab as in the description. @Cybertaz

If you have used a macro-enabled template from Microsoft in the past for this, it should still be on your computer in the folder you have designated as the default location for saving custom office templates.

When you use one of the templates from Microsoft, it is stored there.

I expect that sometime in January Microsoft will come out with 2027 calendars. This is based on experience since they discontinued the macro-enabled calendar templates.

There are good free alternatives available.

You can use the free calendar add-in from former Word MVP Greg Maxey that you can download from here: https://gregmaxey.com/wonrd_tip_pages/calendar_maker_addin.html This has several choices of formats.

You can also find free 2026 and 2027 calendars on MVP Jay Freedman's download site. (https://jay-freedman.info/) These are simple macro-free templates.

You can find a free perpetual calendar maker add-in on MVP Graham Mayor's site. This allows a choice of background colors.

These templates are from trusted experts and have been used by thousands of users.

Microsoft has not published a release date for the 2027 Word Banner Calendar, and the template is not currently listed in Microsoft’s publicly searchable template catalog.^1^

To check when it becomes available:

    1. In Word for Windows, select File → New.
    2. Search for 2027 Banner Calendar or 2027 calendar.
    3. Alternatively, browse Microsoft Create’s calendar templates. Microsoft confirms that templates available through File → New can be selected and downloaded with Create.^2^

A Microsoft Q&A contributor expects 2027 calendars to appear sometime in January 2027, based on previous years, but this is a community estimate—not an official Microsoft release schedule.^3^

Current Word calendar templates generally cannot be switched to another year automatically because Microsoft removed the older macro-enabled templates that provided that function. Therefore, changing only the displayed year in a 2026 Banner Calendar will not correctly rearrange all dates; a separate 2027 template is required.^4^
