I HAVE BEEN CONSISTANTLY USING THE MICRO SOFT CO PILOT AT WORK, TODAY I HAVE USED 6 CHATS AND NOW I AM BEING TOLD I REACHED MY DAILY LIMIT AND NEED TO UPGRADE OR WAIT. THIS SEEMS TO BE A LITTLE TOO SHORT OF A TIME EVEN IF THIS IS A FREE SERVICE. I AM CONFUSED AS TO WHY I AM BEING GREETED WITH THIS NOW.

    Hello JASON LEE,

It appears that several other users have recently reported receiving the “daily chat limit reached” message after only a small number of prompts. However, I have not found an official Microsoft notice confirming that this is a general service issue or or a fixed number of daily chats

If Copilot is offering an upgrade, you may be using the free Copilot experience through a personal Microsoft account. The free version provides general chat and web-based assistance, but availability and usage can be more limited than with an eligible Microsoft 365 subscription or organizational Copilot license.

    Please try the following:

Sign out of Copilot, close the application or browser, and then sign back in with the account you normally use. If several personal, work, or school accounts are signed in, temporarily sign out of the additional accounts to make sure Copilot is recognizing the intended account.

Note: If you are using a work or school account, please contact your organization’s IT administrator to verify your Copilot license and access.

For personal account, you can contact Microsoft Support and ask them to check the Copilot entitlement and AI-credit status. Since this is a user-to-user forum, we cannot inspect or reset the account’s usage information. We can only share suggestions based on our observations and personal experiences.

Here's how to reach out to the Microsoft Support Team (live chat):

    1.  Go to: https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact
    2. In the search box, enter a short description of your issue, then choose "Get Help"
    3. Scroll down and select Sign in to contact support (please sign in using a personal Microsoft account). Then follow the on-screen prompts to reach Support Team.

    Tips:

    • Support chat availability may vary by country/region, product, and support hours. If you can't get in touch with a chat agent right away, trying again later or at a different time may help.
    • If the support page directs you to the automated assistant, type “I need a live agent” in the chat.

Hopefully your issue will be sorted out soon. Thank you so much for your patience!
