A hacker took my sons account in order to steal his minecraft account and in doing so took my microsoft account. I submitted the recovery with my phone number because by the time i entered in my email it said i didn't have an account. even though i was receiving codes to recover my account thats what got me to look into it. I for some reason ended up creating a new account with my email address. I went to submit a request with minecraft and was able to prove the purchase order number and how it was linked to my email. I'm more nervous because I don't know all that was associated with that micorsoft account. I don't know where to start to protect myself from further fraud if they have my credit card info and my email info. When i go to login the hackers email and recovery email pops up . I tried to reset mincraft but it still pops up. Please any advice would be great on where to start.

    Hi @fengles

I’m sorry this happened. Since payment information may be involved, contact your bank or card provider immediately to block or replace the card and report any charges you do not recognize. Change the passwords for your email, banking, and anywhere else the same password was used.

For the original Microsoft account, start with the official hacked-account Sign-in Helper. Use the original email address or phone number and provide any previous passwords, purchase details, devices, and Minecraft order information requested during recovery.

Also run a full malware scan on the devices used with the account before entering new passwords.

Please do not share order numbers, card details, email addresses, or recovery codes in this public forum. Please kindly note that forum members and forum moderators cannot access or restore the account directly, so recovery must go through the official account-recovery process.

Thank you for your understanding and time.
