Foundry IQ Knowledge Base incorrectly detected as OBO with API Key

Our Foundry agent works correctly in the Playground and also works from our application with API Key when no Knowledge Base is attached.
When a Foundry IQ Knowledge Base is attached, the same API Key call fails with:
Tools configured with OBO auth are not supported with API key authentication.
The Knowledge Base connection is configured with Project Managed Identity, not OBO.
We need to keep API Key authentication in our existing application. Please confirm whether this is a known bug/regression and provide the supported fix or workaround.
