Hello,

Two days ago, I suddenly stopped receiving emails from my yahoo account in Outlook 2013. I can still send e-mails without a problem, but I receive the following error during the receive process:

Receiving' reported error (0x80004005) : 'The operation failed.'

I checked the POP settings and they are correct, and when I run tests they complete properly. Anything I can do to fix this?

Thank you

    Hi @John S

I understand that you can still send emails from your Yahoo account in Outlook 2013, but receiving messages now results in error 0x80004005.

Since Outlook 2013 may require a Yahoo app password, please generate a new one from Yahoo Account Security > Manage app passwords, select Outlook Desktop, and then replace the current password in your Outlook account settings.

If the issue continues, please check whether new messages are available when you sign in to Yahoo Mail through a browser. If they appear there, create a new Outlook profile through Control Panel > Mail > Show Profiles > Add, configure the Yahoo account again, and check whether Outlook can receive messages in the new profile.

Please let us know the result. This will help determine whether the issue is related to Yahoo authentication or the existing Outlook profile.
