When I try to update my credit card information it only lets me update the expiration date, but I also need to update the CVC number and it's not asking for it. It doesn't seem to want to change it with only the expiration date.

Hello, good day and thanks for your question. Sorry to know about this and I understand that you have encountered an issue with regards to the payment for your Microsoft 365 subscription.

Are you still encountering an issue even when you try updating your card details or information when you login to your Microsoft account at https://account.microsoft.com/billing/paymentsfrom a different browser or even when you use inPrivate or Incognito browsing mode?

Update the CVC/CVV from your Microsoft account’s web Payment options page rather than the Microsoft Store interface.

    1. Open Microsoft account Payment options and sign in with the account used for the Store purchase or subscription.
    2. Find the card and select View or edit card.
    3. Enter the new CVV/CVC and expiration date, then select Save. Microsoft explicitly lists the CVV as information that can be updated for a personal account.^1^
    4. Retry the purchase or payment.

If the CVC field still does not appear

    • If this is a replacement card or its card number has changed, add it as a new payment method instead of editing the existing card. Card numbers and card types cannot be edited on a saved payment method.^2^
    • If it is the same card and View or edit card still offers only the expiration date, use Contact Microsoft Support from the payment-method support page, enter the billing problem, select Get Help, and then Contact Support. Billing support must investigate when the expected CVV field is unavailable.^1^

Never post the card number or CVC in a public Q&A reply.
