Not able to finalize corporate Identity Validation in Artifact Signing: "You need permission"

Echoing the issue that other colleagues experience as well: We are not able to complete Identity Validation of our company within Artifact Signing:

When clicking the verification link it redirects to credentials.microsoft.com/verify/noPermission with the following error:
"You need permission. To access this page, you must be logged in as an authorized user of the Entra Azure tenant which was used for the enrollment application or change."

The Entra tenant ID from the error page is different from our own and I don't understand why?

  • The Azure Owner account has the same email as the primary email of the verification request.
  • Artifact Signing Identity Verifier role is assigned.

The Azure owner UPN (User principal name) includes ...#EXT#@....onmicrosoft.com in the email. Does that mean something? Shall I rather create another user for the verification request and add it as a regular member?
