Will the Azure credit automatically be upgraded

Hello:

My startup got $5000 Azure credit since 7/6. Now it's 3 months, my workloads were stable, around 10. Will it be upgraded to next tier $25,000? Should I explicitly apply somewhere?

Thanks,

Helen

Yes. The Azure credit upgrade is automatic when the milestone requirements are met. There is no separate application for the next tier.

For the $25,000 milestone, the requirement is:

    1. Use 5 or more Azure workloads
    2. Maintain them for about 60 continuous days
    3. Each workload must stay above $1 in spend for the full 60 days

A workload means an Azure service actively used in the solution, such as VMs, AI services, databases, or application hosting services. If there have been around 10 active workloads and each stayed above the $1 spend threshold continuously, that satisfies the workload-count requirement for Milestone 3.

    A few important details:

    • The 60-day clock starts only after the required number of workloads is reached and each has at least $1 in spend.
    • If any workload drops below $1 during that period, the count falls below the requirement until it is restored.
    • Progress is based on recent activity and sustained usage patterns, not one-time spikes.
    • Microsoft verifies and updates the credit offer automatically, and the update can take up to 30 days to process.

    So the expected path is:

    1. No manual application
    2. Automatic evaluation after the sustained-usage requirement is met
    3. Email confirmation when the credit offer is updated
