Can't add family

I added my kid as a family member.

Got him logged in, but it added screen time and locked him out of chrome.

I went to my account to change screen time settings but he was still 'pending' so I could not access his profile.

Waited for hours but it never change from 'pending' and ended up cancelling the invite.

He is still logged in on his side, still screen time for chrome, and I have no access to his profile.

It won't let me re-add him as a family member.

    Hello Darren Ko,

This appears to be an incomplete Family Safety sync. The invitation was cancelled, but the child’s Windows profile may still be applying the restrictions from the partially connected family group.

Here are some suggestions you can try:

    1. Restart both the parent’s and child’s devices and sign in again.
    2. On the child’s computer, open Settings > Accounts and select Verify if that option appears. Make sure they verify the same Microsoft account that was invited to the family group.
    3. On the child’s device, open a private browser window and sign in at Microsoft Family Safety using the child’s exact Microsoft account. Check whether the account is still connected to another family group and leave or remove it first, if shown.
    4. Sign in with the parent account. If the child still appears anywhere, select Remove consent first, then Remove from family group. Send a new invitation and accept it in the private window while signed in only to the child’s account.
    5. Once the child appears as a member, open their Web safety or Apps, features, and games settings and unblock Chrome or turn off the web filter.

Please let me know how it goes after trying these steps, and I'll be glad to continue looking into it with you.
