A family of Microsoft word processing software products for creating web, email, and print documents.
I tested this in my environment by creating a simple macro, saving the document as a Word Macro-Enabled Document (.docm), and then selecting File Explorer > right-click the file > Send to > Mail recipient. The file was attached and sent successfully in my test.
Therefore, I’m not yet sure what you mean by “send through Explorer.” Could you clarify whether you are:
- Right-clicking the file and selecting File Explorer > Send to > Mail recipient;
- Attaching the file directly to an email in Outlook or uploading it to OneDrive or SharePoint to share it?\
Could you also provide the exact error message or a screenshot showing what happens when the operation fails? Please hide any email addresses and other personal information before posting the screenshot.
Could you also confirm which versions of Microsoft Word and Windows you are currently using? Additionally, did this work normally before, or is this the first time you have encountered the issue when sending a .docm file?
I’m just another user on this forum, not a Microsoft employee, but this information will help determine whether the issue is related to File Explorer, Outlook, or the .docm file itself.
Thank you for your understanding.
