Submit the commenting ban to MSN through the Feedback button on an MSN page, because the restriction is controlled by MSN’s moderation system and cannot be removed through Microsoft Edge or Windows settings.^1^
Request a review
- Sign in to Microsoft Start/MSN with the affected Microsoft account.
- Open an MSN news article.
- Select Feedback in the lower-right corner of the page. If it is not visible there, open the Settings gear on the MSN homepage and select the feedback option.^2^
- Include:
- The exact message: “I’m banned from commenting.”
- That the restriction applies to all MSN articles.
- The approximate date and time it began.
- That you could comment before the restriction.
- A screenshot of the message, if the form permits attachments.
- A request for the account’s commenting restriction to be manually reviewed.
- Do not include your email address, password, or other sensitive account information.
Example report:
My Microsoft Start/MSN account is blocked from commenting on every news article. The message says that I’m banned from commenting. This began around [date/time], after I posted several comments. Please review the moderation status and remove the restriction if it was applied incorrectly.
MSN feedback is passed to its product and content teams, but the feedback system does not record your email address, so you should not expect an individual reply.^2^
You can also review the MSN community guideline referenced in the MSN moderation guidance before submitting the report: MSN Community Guideline. An MSN-specific accepted answer identifies the same on-page Feedback route for appealing blocked comments.^3^
Reinstalling Edge, clearing browsing data, or changing Windows 11 settings is not the applicable review path for an explicit MSN commenting ban. Only MSN can inspect or change the moderation status.^1^
