Hi, my Xbox 360 (original model, 2009) was signing in to Xbox Live normally, then suddenly stopped working. To fix it I deleted my profile from the console and tried to download it again, but the download always fails at the authentication step with error 8015190A. Now I can't get my profile back on the console. The same account works fine on my Xbox One and Xbox Series X.

What I've tried:

  • The Xbox Live connection test on the console, which passes with no errors
  • Logging in with my normal password and with newly created app passwords
  • Turning 2-step verification off temporarily and using my normal password
  • Clearing the system cache and checking that the console date and time are correct
  • Checking my account on account.microsoft.com and xbox.com: no warnings, and I can sign in to xbox.com fine
  • Registering the console to my Microsoft account

My account's recent activity shows no sign-in attempts from the Xbox 360. Region: Korea.

Is there anything else I can try, or is this a known server-side issue? Thanks.

Solved! What fixed it for me was toggling recurring billing on my Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. Recurring billing was off, so I went to account.microsoft.com > Subscriptions > Xbox Game Pass Ultimate > Manage, turned recurring billing ON (I had to add a payment method first), then turned it OFF again. Right after that, the profile download on my Xbox 360 worked. My subscription stays active until its end date, so nothing was lost. Hope this helps anyone else with 8015190A.
