Corsair HS80 headset and microphone were working fine. Had a few MS updates and now the microphine is not found.

    Hi,

Go to Device Manager, look under the "USB controllers" tab, take a screenshot, and post it here.

Then, go to Start Menu > Settings > System > Sound > scroll down > More sound settings > Recording tab > Right-click on the white area and select "Show disconnected and disabled devices."

Check if the microphone is disabled.

If you have iCUE installed, open it and check if the microphone is muted.

    Thanks.

On Windows 11, if the headset mic disappeared after updates, check these in order:

    1. Turn microphone access back on
      • Go to Start > Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone.
      • Make sure Microphone access is On.
      • Make sure Let apps access your microphone is On.
      • If needed, also turn on Let desktop apps access your microphone.
    2. Verify Windows still sees an input device
      • Go to Start > Settings > System > Sound.
      • Under Input, check Choose a device for speaking or recording.
      • If the Corsair headset appears, select it.
      • Open its properties with the > button and run Start test under Microphone test.
    3. Run the built-in sound troubleshooter
      • Go to Start > Settings > System > Sound.
      • Scroll to Advanced.
      • Select Input devices under Troubleshoot common sound problems.
      • If needed, select All sound devices under Advanced for more options.
    4. Reinstall the audio drivers
      • Right-click Start and select Device Manager.
      • Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
      • Right-click each audio device, select Uninstall device, check Attempt to remove the driver for this device, then select Uninstall.
      • Restart the PC.
      • If Windows does not reinstall them automatically, open Device Manager, right-click Sound, video and game controllers, and select Scan for hardware changes.
      • Then right-click the audio driver and select Update driver.
    5. Check whether the device is hidden or disabled in Device Manager
      • In Device Manager, expand Sound, video and game controllers.
      • If the audio device is present but disabled, right-click it and select Enable device.
      • If it is missing, select View > Show hidden devices, then Action > Scan for hardware changes.
    6. Restart audio services
      • Search for services from the taskbar and open it.
      • Restart these services:
        • Windows Audio
        • Windows Audio Endpoint Builder
        • Remote Procedure Call (RPC)

If the headset still has no input device after these steps, the next supported step is to install the latest audio driver from the PC or audio device manufacturer and restart Windows.
