I'm trying to sign into my personal Office 365 account. Using my personal user ID and password keeps signing me into my work Office 365 account or I get stuck in an endless loop of being asked for my user ID and passwork without any successful sign in.

What's the email domain, such as @outlook.com, or @somethingelse.com?
Does this happen also if you use browser incognito mode?
Which URL are you using precisely?
