I my pc crashed, I had been running a windows 11 after updating from win 10. Now after re-installing I find that my version of win 10 is too old to upgrade to win 11.

    Welcome Eddie Bechta,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Since your PC was previously running Windows 11, let's first check exactly which Windows 10 version was installed after the crash.

    • Press Windows key + R, type winver, and press Enter.
    • Please tell me the Version and OS Build shown in the window.
    • Then open Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, select Check for updates, and install any available updates. Restart the PC and check again until no further updates are offered.
    • After that, let me know whether Windows Update offers Windows 11 or displays a message saying the PC does not currently meet the Windows 11 requirements.

    Looking forward to your update.
