Additional meeting and call-related features and issues within Microsoft Teams for business
This changed with a Teams update earlier this year. Meeting chats now get moved into their own section by default, which is why they've vanished from your main list. The good news is it's a single toggle to put them back.
- In Teams, click the three dots at the top right > Settings.
- Go to Chats and channels.
- Turn off "Show meeting chats in their own section".
- Back in your chat list, check the filter chips at the top. If "Chats" or "Meeting chats" is highlighted, click it once to clear it, so no filter is active.
Your meeting chats and regular chats then appear together in one list, sorted by most recent, like before.
If you don't see that toggle in your Settings, let me know which Teams version you're on (Settings > About) and whether it's the desktop app, web or mobile. Rollout timing varies, and there's a different place to fix it on older builds.
If this helped, please click Accept Answer so others missing their meeting chats can find it.
