How to correct email address for TEAMS Login

For Microsoft Teams Free on iPhone, the sign-in email comes from the Microsoft account alias list. To correct a typo, update the email address on the Microsoft account first:

1. Go to Manage how you sign in to Microsoft and sign in.
2. Select Add email.
3. Add the correct email address and complete verification.
4. Select Make primary for the correct address.
5. Remove the incorrect old address if needed.

Important:

• Add the new alias before removing the old one.
• A primary alias cannot be removed until another email is added.
• If the email is reported as unavailable, one documented cause is that the address is already connected to a Microsoft account.

To make the change appear in Teams on iPhone:

1. Uninstall the Teams app.
2. Reinstall it from the iOS App Store.
3. Sign in to Microsoft Teams Free with the corrected email.
