Word does not allow me to connect my Printer to Word

Cannot connect my printer to the Word document I am trying to print. PLEASE HELP!!

Although, Word shows connection to my printer, however, the moment I indicate to printer it will notify me that the "Printer is Not Connected."

Please help! Very frustrated.

I have same problem with my new Epson ET2860, it prints fine in other applications but in Word it shows no printer installed. tried everything. Spooler says running.

Since the suggestions in this thread hasn't worked for you, I recommend that you start a new thread. Use the Ask a question option. Be sure to include the details that are relevant for your system (version of Office, version of Windows).

Hi, @Millie Garcia

First, please check whether the printer works outside Word. Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners, select your printer, then choose Print a test page.

If the test page also fails, the issue is with the printer connection or driver, not Word. Restart the printer and computer, then reconnect the USB cable or Wi-Fi connection.

If the test page prints normally, open Word, go to File > Print, and make sure the same printer is selected.

Does the printer work from another app, such as Notepad or a PDF reader? Also, is the printer connected by USB or Wi-Fi, and what is the exact error message?
