Question

Communicating outside of xbox is currently blocked.

Fane 15

I dont know what happened but as of yesterday I cant access discord on my xbox because of this error. When I try to change the setting, ot changes back to in-game friends without me doing anything. Discord on PC works just fine but on xbox i get this error.

Also I am not part of any family on xbox.

I have the exact same issue and I've tried everything on multiple devices and it reverts back to "Friends" or if I switched to Adult mode it tells me there was a problem and try again later. Been trying for 3 days and have done all sorts of silly things. I'm age verified on xbox and Discord, signed in and out, resynced discord, attempted to change my settings on xbox, the Microsoft webpage both on xbox and on my phone, the xbox app and nothing, same issue. Very annoying when you just wanna hop on after work and chill with ya boys.... Never had this issue before.

Title: Xbox privacy settings keep reverting to “Friends” after changing region from UK to Poland

Hello,

I have an issue with my Xbox Series S and Discord voice chat.

Everything worked normally before I changed my Xbox console region from Poland to the United Kingdom. After changing the region, I received a notification asking me to verify my age, but I skipped that step and changed the region back to Poland.

Since then, Discord voice chat on my Xbox has been blocked with the following message: “Communicating outside of Xbox is currently blocked.”

I am 28 years old, my Microsoft account is several years old, and my date of birth is correct. My account is not part of a Microsoft family group.

When I try to change my Xbox privacy settings to allow communication with everyone, the website says the settings have been saved. However, after refreshing the page, the setting automatically reverts to “Friends”.

The same issue occurs on both the Xbox console and the Xbox privacy settings website. I have signed out and back in, tried a private browser session, and checked my account settings. The age verification page says that age verification is not required for my account.

It seems that something went wrong with my account’s privacy permissions after the region change and age verification prompt.

Could someone from Microsoft please advise how to fix this issue or check whether my account has a restriction preventing these settings from being saved?

Thank you.
