Hello Ivan Rameo, thanks for posting this in the community.
Common causes include DNS resolution delays, browser security policies blocking mixed content, and site performance issues on the server side.
Windows Defender and SmartScreen generally block sites flagged as malicious or phishing. If the site is legitimate and not flagged, it should load normally. To check, open Windows Security, go to App & Browser Control, then Reputation-based protection settings. Temporarily disable SmartScreen for Microsoft Edge (or your browser) and test the site. If disabling fixes the issue, SmartScreen may be misclassifying the site.
For network and browser settings, you can clear the DNS cache by running
ipconfig /flushdns
in Command Prompt. Reset the network stack using
netsh winsock reset
and
netsh int ip reset
, then restart your PC. Clear browser cache and disable extensions, especially ad blockers or privacy tools. Try different browsers such as Edge, Chrome, and Firefox to see if the issue is browser-specific.
Regarding HTTPS and certificate handling, if the site uses non-standard SSL configurations, some browsers may struggle. Check by opening the site, clicking the lock icon in the address bar, and viewing the certificate to ensure it is valid and not expired. If invalid, the issue is on the site’s end.
Additional checks include disabling hardware acceleration in browser settings, temporarily turning off Windows Defender Firewall to rule out blocking, and running the Network Troubleshooter by going to Settings, then System, Troubleshoot, Other troubleshooters, and selecting Network Adapter.
Hope this helps.
Kind regards,
John Oli
