Subject: Outlook repeatedly sending old email reactions

For some reason, my Outlook account has been repeatedly sending out old reactions to emails without me doing anything.

This has been happening for the past three days, and it appears to be originating from my mobile phone.

I have already tried deleting and reinstalling the Outlook app, as well as resetting my email account, but the issue is still occurring and the reactions continue to be sent.

    Hi @James Hudson

I’m sorry that Outlook keeps sending old email reactions without your action.

Since reinstalling the Outlook app and resetting the account did not resolve the issue, please contact Microsoft Support for further investigation:

    • Contact Microsoft Support
    • Select Show expanded list of products.
    • Select Outlook > Get Home support.
    • Enter Outlook live chat, then select Get Help > Contact Support.
    • Sign in with the affected account. If you cannot access it, use another Microsoft account to view the available support options.
    • In the Support Assistant, type Talk to a live chat agent, then select Contact Support.
    • Under Products & Services, select Other Products > Outlook, then choose Chat with a support agent in your web browser.

In the meantime, completely power off your phone for a while and check whether the reactions continue. This can help determine whether they are coming from the mobile device or another connected session.

Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators and contributors, including external Microsoft employees, cannot access back-end systems or directly intervene in individual accounts. Our role is limited to providing technical guidance for reported issues, requests, and ideas.

    Thank you for your understanding.
