    Dear @Nylreh Bayona ,

Good day! Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum!

First of all, I would like to clarify that this is a community forum where users help one another. No one here, including myself, has access to your purchase records, subscription details, payment information, or refund status.

Before proceeding, could you confirm whether the subscription was purchased using a personal Microsoft account or a school-provided Microsoft 365 Education account?

If it is a school-managed subscription, the school's IT administrator may need to review the licensing and billing details.

If this is a personal Microsoft account, according to Microsoft subscription refund policy, refund eligibility depends on factors such as the subscription type, purchase date, billing cycle, and purchase platform. If the subscription was purchased directly from Microsoft, canceling the subscription is generally the first step to determine whether a refund is available.

In some cases, users may be eligible for a prorated or full refund, depending on local laws and the timing of the cancellation.

If the purchase was made through Google Play (based on your question tag 'Android'), refund requests must be submitted through the respective platform - Google Play, as Microsoft cannot process refunds for purchases made through third-party stores.

Since you've already canceled the subscription, please sign in to the Microsoft account used for the purchase and check whether a refund option is available in your subscription or order history.

If no self-service refund option is presented, you'll need to contact Microsoft Support directly and provide your order details so they can review the purchase and determine whether it qualifies for a refund based on the subscription type, purchase date, and applicable refund policies.

If the subscription was purchased directly from Microsoft, I recommend following the steps in the Microsoft Support article "How to get a refund on a Microsoft subscription." The article walks through how to check your subscription status, determine whether a refund option is available, and what to do if additional support is required.

Thank you for your kindness and understanding!

Request the refund directly from Google Play and cancel the subscription there, because Microsoft cannot process refunds or cancellations for subscriptions purchased through Google Play.[^1^](https://support.microsoft.com/accounts-billing/subscriptions/[Subscription ID] "Manage your Microsoft 365 subscription purchased through a third party | Microsoft Support")

    Request the refund

    1. Open Google’s Request your Google Play refund form.
    2. Sign in with the Google account that made the purchase.
    3. Select the accidental Microsoft 365 subscription charge.
    4. Choose the reason indicating that the purchase was accidental, then submit the request.

Alternatively, on the Google Play website, go to Profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Budget & order history, find the Microsoft 365 order, select Report a problem, and submit the refund request. Google says decisions usually arrive within one day but can take up to four days.^2^

Submit the request promptly. Google’s policy states that purchases made within 48 hours may qualify for a refund through Google Play; after 48 hours, it may direct you to contact the app developer.^3^

    You can enter this explanation:

I purchased this Microsoft 365 subscription accidentally. I did not intend to subscribe and cannot use the service. Please cancel the subscription and refund the charge.

    Stop future charges

A refund request does not necessarily cancel recurring billing. On the Android device:

    1. Open Google Play Store.
    2. Tap the profile icon.
    3. Select Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
    4. Select Microsoft 365.
    5. Tap Cancel subscription and complete the prompts.

Android subscriptions purchased through a mobile app are billed and managed through Google Play.[^4^](https://support.microsoft.com/accounts-billing/subscriptions/[Subscription ID] "Where can I manage my Microsoft 365 subscription? | Microsoft Support")

If the subscription does not appear, switch to any other Google account used on the device and check Subscriptions again. Keep the Google Play order receipt and order number available if Google requests proof of purchase.
