    Hi @Nancy Jeffers

You should be able to correct this by deleting the personal information currently registered for identity theft monitoring and completing the enrollment again.

From the Microsoft Defender dashboard, open Dark web monitoring or Credit monitoring, select the three-dot menu, and choose Remove all your info. You can then set up identity theft monitoring again using the correct SSN. Please be aware that this removes the information registered for both dark web and credit monitoring, so both may need to be configured again.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any further updates, thanks.

If the SSN was entered incorrectly during Microsoft Defender identity theft monitoring setup, remove the enrolled information and set it up again.

    Steps:

    1. Open the Microsoft Defender app or go to the My Defender portal.
    2. Find the Identity theft monitoring card or Credit monitoring card on the Defender dashboard.
    3. Use the ellipsis (…) menu and choose Remove all your info to unenroll.
    4. Start setup again by selecting Get started.
    5. Follow the prompts and enter the correct SSN when asked.

If setup completes and later Defender shows a credit monitoring alert that is recognized as valid activity, open the alert and select Yes, I recognize this. If the activity is not recognized, select No, I don't recognize this to get recommended next steps.
