Repair or reset Feedback Hub from Windows Settings; uninstalling KB5127936 restored PowerShell, but it does not repair the Feedback Hub app’s package or data.

    Repair Feedback Hub

    1. Open Settings → Apps → Installed apps.
    2. Find Feedback Hub, select the three-dot menu → Advanced options.
    3. Select Terminate, then Repair.
    4. Open Feedback Hub and verify that it displays the app—not Settings → Privacy & security → Diagnostics & feedback.
    5. If it still redirects incorrectly, return to Advanced options and select Reset. Resetting clears the app’s local data. Microsoft documents Repair first and Reset when Repair does not resolve the problem.^1^

    Update or reinstall the app

    If Reset does not work:

    1. Open Microsoft Store → Library → Get updates.
    2. Install any update for Feedback Hub or Microsoft Store.
    3. If no update fixes it, uninstall Feedback Hub from Settings → Apps → Installed apps, restart Windows, and reinstall it from Microsoft Store → Library. Microsoft’s Store-app procedure specifies updating the Store, repairing/resetting the app, and then reinstalling it if necessary.^2^

If Feedback Hub is absent from the library, search for Feedback Hub directly in Microsoft Store. Its Store package can be reinstalled there.^3^

    About KB5127936 and PowerShell

KB5127936 applies to Windows 11 25H2 and 26H2. Its documented PowerShell change adds “5.1” to the Windows PowerShell and PowerShell ISE names; Microsoft notes that some existing Start-menu shortcuts might retain their previous names.^4^

Microsoft’s release-health record does not list the Win+X “command not recognized” or Feedback Hub behavior as a known KB5127936 issue. The documented known issue resolved by that update concerns Remote Desktop for non-administrators using Administrator protection.^5^

Because uninstalling the update already restored PowerShell, do not repeat the rollback. Record the following before installing a later cumulative update:

    • Windows version and OS build from Settings → System → About
    • The exact Win+X error text
    • Whether Windows Terminal (Admin), Windows PowerShell 5.1, or both failed
    • That removing KB5127936 restored the command
    • The Feedback Hub redirect behavior

After Feedback Hub is repaired, search for an existing matching report and upvote it; otherwise submit a new report. Microsoft’s documented workflow is to search first and then create feedback if no matching issue exists.^6^

If Feedback Hub still cannot be repaired

Run Windows component repair from Command Prompt (Admin):

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
    sfc /scannow

Run DISM first, wait for successful completion, then run SFC to 100%. These tools repair missing or damaged Windows components.^7^

If Repair, Reset, reinstall, DISM, and SFC all fail, use an in-place repair installation while retaining files and apps rather than performing a clean installation.

KB5127936 - We have found this is also affecting Pcs not to Boot into Windows. It boot just to WinRe only.
The only fix we have fount is to disabled "Virtualization support" in the bios.
We disabled this and the system boot normally again.
When the update is applied it seems, find and was ok on a reboot. But on a shutdown (Fast startup turned off), it would not boot again.
    PC Affected was a HP 250 G9 - Win11 26h2

    Hi Terry,

Uninstalling and reinstalling the Feedback Hub app should help. From PowerShell admin, run this command to uninstall Feedback Hub

    get-appxpackage -allusers Microsoft.WindowsFeedbackHub | remove-appxpackage -allusers

After running that command, install Feedback Hub from the following Store link.

    https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9nblggh4r32n

See if you can launch Feedback Hub. If you get any errors when doing so, please post a screenshot of the error.

KB5127936 is an optional Preview update. To prevent it from installing automatically, open Settings → Windows Update. Turn OFF the toggle labeled "Get the latest updates as soon as they're available".
