I keep getting notifications - Credentials needed

I got the initial request - I got it confirmed and now my phone keeps getting the attached notification and when I enter my last four of my phone # it tells me verify another way.

It is in a constant loop.

    Hello Sandy Miller

I understand how frustrating it is to keep receiving the Credentials needed notification after you have already completed the verification, especially when Verify another way keeps sending you back through the same process.

If this is a personal Microsoft account and you can still sign in, please try checking your security verification methods:

    1. Sign in to your Microsoft account and open Advanced security options.
    2. Under your security information, choose Add a new way to sign in or verify.
    3. Add another verification method that you currently have access to and complete the verification.
    4. After that, try the sign-in/credential request on your iPhone again and see whether you can select the newly added method.

I would avoid removing or replacing all existing security information at the same time.

If the notification still loops afterward, could you let us know which Microsoft app on the iPhone is displaying the “Credentials needed” notification (for example, Outlook, OneDrive, Microsoft 365, or Authenticator)? That will help us narrow down whether the problem is with the account verification itself or the app's sign-in session.

Please feel free reply back to this post if you need further assistance, I'll be happy to help.

Hi - I had to add my husband's email for a verification method, but so far so good! TYVM
