Microsoft project management software used to plan, manage, and communicate a project schedule and other information among workgroup members, project managers, and other stakeholders.
Hi @GPLBDB
In Planner, the picture on a task card is controlled by the Show on card option for the attachment. Here's how to set it:
- Open the plan in Board view and select the task to open its details.
- Find the picture under Attachments.
- Select the ... (more options) next to the picture and choose Show on card. If you see a Show on card check box instead, tick it.
- Close the task. The picture should now appear as the preview on the card in Board view.
A few things to know:
- Microsoft's doc says the first photo you attach normally becomes the preview automatically, so if it didn't, step 3 sets it manually.
- Only one item can be the preview at a time. If the description or checklist is set to show on the card, clear that check box first.
- The preview only appears in Board view, not in Grid, Schedule or Timeline.
One honest caveat: Microsoft's article on preview pictures is written for basic plans and is still being updated for the new Planner. I couldn't find documentation confirming that premium plans (Planner Plan 1) show attachment previews on cards. If Show on card doesn't appear for the image in your premium plan, it's most likely not supported there yet, rather than something you're doing wrong. In that case you could post it as a suggestion through Feedback in the Planner app.
Do you see the Show on card option when you open the image in the task?
If the picture shows up on the card, please consider accepting it as the answer. If the option isn't there, let me know and I'll be happy to keep helping.
