Using Outlook for Android for personal email and calendar management
Welcome EARL DAVISON,
I’m sorry you’re dealing with this, especially after your account was compromised. If someone had access to the account, it is important to secure it first and then check whether any mail settings were changed.
Before we continue, could you please confirm whether the affected email address is a personal Microsoft account such as Outlook.com, Hotmail.com, or Live.com, rather than a work or school account?
If it is a personal account and you can still sign in, please try these steps:
- Secure the account first. Follow Microsoft’s compromised-account guidance and change your password to a new, unique password: How to recover a hacked or compromised Microsoft account
- In Outlook on the web, open Settings > Mail > Forwarding. If forwarding is enabled to an address you do not recognize, disable it and save the change.
- Then open Settings > Mail > Rules. Review the listed rules and look for anything you did not create, especially a rule that forwards, redirects, moves, or deletes incoming mail. Remove or disable any unauthorized rule.
After doing this, please ask one trusted contact to send you a new test email and let us know whether it arrives in your Inbox or Junk Email folder.
Looking forward to your update.
