I have an annual Office 365 plan on my laptop. My Outlook works at home but I seem to be using some sort of Outlook web version of some sort. I would like to use the actual Outlook client on my Android if possible. Can't figure out how to use the real Outlook on my phone.

Install Microsoft Outlook from the Google Play Store, then add the same email account whose mailbox you currently open in the browser.

    Install and configure Outlook

    1. On the Android phone, open Google Play Store.
    2. Search for Microsoft Outlook and select Install. Microsoft confirms that its Office apps, including Outlook, are available through Google Play.^1^
    3. Open Outlook and select Add Account.
    4. Enter the email address you use to read your mail—not necessarily the address used to purchase Microsoft 365.
    5. Enter that email account’s password and complete any verification prompt.
    6. If Outlook detects another account automatically, select Skip this account to enter the correct address instead.

Those are the standard first-time setup steps for the full Outlook for Android app.^2^

If Outlook is already installed, add the mailbox through:

Outlook → Menu → Settings → Account → Add Account → Add an email account

    Subscription account versus email account

Your annual Microsoft 365 subscription is tied to a Microsoft account, but that account and your actual email mailbox can be different. For example, someone can purchase Microsoft 365 using a Microsoft account based on a Gmail or Yahoo address.[^3^](https://support.microsoft.com/accounts-billing/subscriptions/[Subscription ID] "Connecting a Microsoft subscription to Outlook | Microsoft Support")

    Therefore:

    • If the browser mailbox is @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, @live.com, or @msn.com, add that address to Outlook.
    • If the mailbox is Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud, or another provider, add that provider’s email address and password. Outlook for Android supports Microsoft 365, Exchange, Outlook.com, Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud, POP, and IMAP accounts.^4^
    • Signing in with the account that purchased Microsoft 365 will not display a different mailbox unless that address is also the mailbox you use.

No Intune enrollment or business administration is normally needed for a personal/home account. Those additional steps apply only when a work or school organization has imposed device-management or app-protection requirements.^2^

    Hi,

Regarding the Outlook app, there is only one version—unlike on PC, where you have different options (Outlook from the Microsoft Store, Outlook Classic, and the new Outlook). As for Office 365 on Android, it provides additional features for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365-activation-licensing/mobile/what-you-can-do-in-the-microsoft-365-apps-on-mobile-devices-with-a-microsoft-365-subscription

You can download the Outlook app (along with the others) from the Play Store. Here are the links:

    PowerPoint: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.office.powerpoint&hl=en_US

    Excel: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.office.excel&hl=en_US

    Word: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.office.word&hl=en_US

    OneNote: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.office.onenote&hl=en_US

    Outlook: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.office.outlook&hl=en_US

Once you have installed the apps, simply sign in with the Microsoft account associated with your Office 365 subscription to access these features.
