Using classic Outlook for Windows in educational settings
Dear @Jason Wall,
I hope you’re having a good day
Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback.
The functionality you're describing would add a useful level of control to calendar management in Outlook. While Outlook currently provides options such as delayed delivery for email, meeting invitations and calendar updates generally follow a different workflow and are sent as part of the meeting process rather than being scheduled independently.
Both of the enhancements you suggested could be valuable in practical day-to-day use:
- Greater control over when meeting notifications are sent.
- Reduced disruption for recipients when calendar work is performed outside normal business hours.
- More efficient management when creating or updating a large number of calendar events.
This appears to be a product enhancement request rather than a technical issue. For that reason, the best next step would be to submit the idea through Microsoft's feedback channels so it can be reviewed directly by the Outlook product team. Feedback that includes a clear business justification and real-world usage scenario often provides the most value when feature requests are evaluated.
Thank you again for sharing the suggestion and explaining the reasoning behind it. It is thoughtful feedback that could benefit many Outlook users if implemented.
Warm regards,
