Ask Pearson VUE to review the missed appointment as an exam-delivery technical incident and explicitly request reinstatement or a one-time reschedule, rather than only asking whether the expired voucher can be reused.
1. Continue or open a Pearson VUE technical case
Microsoft directs technical exam-delivery and appointment/scheduling issues to the exam delivery partner. ^1^
Since Pearson VUE has already told you the voucher expired, reply to that case—or create a technical-delivery case if the earlier contact was only a scheduling inquiry—and request:
- Review of the check-in or exam-delivery records for the scheduled appointment.
- A determination on whether the technical/network failure qualifies for appointment reinstatement.
- Reinstatement or a one-time reschedule if their records support the incident.
- A written response and case number.
Include:
- Exam name and registration/appointment ID.
- Scheduled date, time, and time zone.
- Whether it was online-proctored or at a test center.
- A concise timeline of the network or technical failure.
- Screenshots, error messages, check-in records, or prior chat/email transcripts.
- The expired-voucher message.
Being told that the voucher is expired does not necessarily mean the underlying technical incident was reviewed, so specifically ask for that review.
2. Escalate only if a Microsoft-side issue remains
If Pearson VUE confirms that it restored or approved the appointment/voucher but scheduling still reports “voucher expired,” submit a Microsoft Credentials Support request:
- Open the online support request.
- Select:
- Product family: Learning
- Product or Service: Microsoft Credentials
- Type of Support: Professional No Charge
- Contact method: Email
- Attach the Pearson VUE case number and written decision.
- Add the expired-voucher screenshot, registration details, Learn username, and technical-incident evidence.
- Ask Microsoft to investigate the remaining voucher or certification-profile block.
Credentials Support is the documented route for Microsoft Certification matters not resolved by the exam delivery partner, but an extension or manual reschedule remains subject to support review and is not guaranteed. ^1^
A suitable request is:
I missed my scheduled exam because of a network/technical failure during check-in or delivery. Pearson VUE case [case number] reviewed the incident and [state its decision]. Scheduling still reports that the voucher is expired. Please review whether the appointment or voucher can be reinstated as a one-time technical exception. Attached are the appointment details, Pearson VUE response, screenshots, and incident timeline.
Applicable policy
Under the standard policy, an appointment must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours beforehand; otherwise, the exam fee or company-purchased voucher may be forfeited. ^2^ That is why self-service rescheduling generally will not resolve a missed appointment with an expired voucher; the technical incident must be reviewed by support.
If this was an AI Skills Fest voucher and a Microsoft support request concerning its expiration was opened on or before September 1, 2026, do not submit a duplicate request. Microsoft states that such existing cases may receive exception review and that no further action is required while the review is pending. ^1^
