    Hi!

Do you remember the error message that appeared in the Outlook mobile app?

Does that same error message appear in the Outlook desktop application?

Is your email personal, corporate, or educational?

Is your email from a custom domain (@yourname.com, @companyname.com), Microsoft (@outlook.com or @hotmail.com), Google (@gmail.com), or another third-party domain?

If email arrives on the phone but not in Outlook on the desktop, isolate whether the problem is the desktop app or the mailbox/account connection.

    1. Check the mailbox in a browser.
      • Sign in to Outlook on the web for the same account.
      • If new mail appears there, the mailbox is receiving mail and the issue is likely the desktop Outlook app.
      • If new mail does not appear there either, the issue is with the account or service rather than the desktop app.
    2. In Outlook on Windows, check the status bar in the bottom-right.
      • If it shows Working Offline, Disconnected, or Trying to connect, the desktop app is not actively connected.
    3. Since the problem started after mail is still reaching the phone, re-enter the account in Outlook on the desktop.
      • A password change or stale sign-in can stop Outlook from syncing until the account is re-authenticated.
    4. If using New Outlook and sync is delayed or stuck:
      • Press F9 or use View > Sync.
      • If that does not help, fully close Outlook, end any Outlook processes, and reopen it.
      • Go to Settings > Accounts > Email accounts and check whether the account shows Needs Attention or Disconnected. If it does, remove the account and add it again.
    5. If the phone also sometimes shows a sync error:
      • Delete and re-add the account on the mobile device.
      • If the account was added as IMAP or POP, calendar and contacts will not sync. For full mail, calendar, and contacts sync, add it as an Exchange ActiveSync account instead.
    6. If mail works on the computer in a browser and there is no outage, the issue may be with the email app itself.
