BGInfo and User Defined Fields Missing

For the past few version of BGInfo (including the latest v4.34) it seems that user defined fields go missing in older operating systems. I've been trying to get it to work in Server 2022, but when I open my BGI file it only has the first ~4 or so (and I have ~10). Problem is, if I then try and open it in an older version that I know works, they've been permanently removed! Luckily I backed up my BGI files.
The only version I've been able to get working is 4.22 or older. Has anyone else had the same experience? Any workarounds?
