Microsoft Store asking me to repurchase Minecraft (Bedrock & Java) after SSD failure and Windows reinstall

Hello,

I previously purchased Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition for PC on my Microsoft account and played it extensively with my friends. Recently, my SSD failed, so I had to replace it and perform a fresh reinstall of Windows.

After reinstalling, I signed back into the Microsoft Store using the exact same account I used to purchase the game. My Microsoft account Order History clearly shows the original purchase of Minecraft, and my Xbox profile reflects my gameplay history and achievements on PC.

However, when I try to download the game, the Microsoft Store and Xbox App both prompt me to buy Minecraft again instead of offering an "Install" option.

We have a huge world saved with my friends, and I really don't want to lose access to the game. Has anyone encountered this issue or found a fix? Any guidance on resolving this licensing mismatch would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!Screenshot 2026-10-16 154841
