    Hi Jaro,

Since this happens with both Bluetooth headphones and a Bluetooth mouse, but only while Roblox is running, the issue may not be limited to the audio output. It could be related to how Roblox responds when Windows detects that a Bluetooth device has been disconnected.

    Please try the following:

    • Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps, find Roblox, select Advanced options, and try Repair first. If the issue continues, select Reset or reinstall Roblox.
    • Open Device Manager > Bluetooth, open the properties of the Bluetooth adapter, and check the Driver tab. If the problem began immediately after a driver or Windows update, try Roll Back Driver if that option is available. Otherwise, install the latest Bluetooth driver provided by the PC manufacturer.
    • Run the Bluetooth diagnostic through the Get Help app, then check Settings > Windows Update for any additional updates.
    • Press Windows key + R, enter perfmon /rel, and check Reliability Monitor for a Roblox failure at the time of the crash. If possible, share the faulting module name and error details shown there.

Could you also share the Windows version and OS build shown under Settings > System > About > Windows specifications, along with the KB number of the most recently installed update? Please avoid including the device name or product ID in the screenshot.

If other applications remain stable when the same devices are disconnected, I would also recommend reporting the behavior to Roblox Support, as Roblox is a third-party application and its developers would need to investigate an application-specific crash. Thank you so much for your understanding.

This matches a known Windows 11 24H2 issue where Bluetooth audio device handoff can freeze or crash apps and games when the Bluetooth device disappears mid-session. Since the issue started after a Windows update, start with these workarounds and repair steps:

    1. Set a non-Bluetooth device as the default playback device.
      • Open Sound Settings.
      • Go to More sound settings.
      • Set Speakers or another wired/fixed device as the default playback device.
      • In Roblox, use the Bluetooth headset only as the app output if possible.
      • This keeps a default audio endpoint available when the Bluetooth device disconnects.
    2. Enable Stereo Mix.
      • Open Sound Settings > More sound settings > Recording tab.
      • Right-click and enable Stereo Mix.
      • Set it as the default recording device.
      • This keeps an audio endpoint alive so Windows has a fallback when the Bluetooth headset disconnects.
    3. Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter.
      • In Windows 11, go to Start > Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
      • Next to Bluetooth, select Run.
    4. Update the Bluetooth driver.
      • Open Device Manager.
      • Expand Bluetooth.
      • Right-click the Bluetooth adapter and select Update driver > Search automatically for updated driver software.
      • Restart the PC if prompted.
      • If Windows does not find a newer driver, install the latest Bluetooth driver from the PC manufacturer.
    5. If the problem started after the update, check for newer Windows updates.
      • Go to Start > Settings > Windows Update.
      • Select Check for updates.
      • Install any available updates and restart.
    6. Reinstall the Bluetooth adapter.
      • Open Device Manager.
      • Expand Bluetooth.
      • Right-click the Bluetooth adapter and select Uninstall device > Uninstall.
      • Shut down the PC completely, then turn it back on.
      • Windows should reinstall the adapter automatically.
    7. If Bluetooth devices still trigger crashes, remove and pair the device again.
      • Go to Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices.
      • Select More options for the device > Remove device > Yes.
      • Pair it again.

If the crash happens specifically when Bluetooth headphones disconnect, the strongest workaround is keeping a wired/default audio device active and enabling Stereo Mix.
