Hi There,

I need to setup my outlook ti the previous look and feel of MS Outlook. Please give step by step guide or MS Customer care in South Africa

    Hello Ernest Rampete,

    To make sure we provide the correct steps, could you please confirm which situation applies?

    • You are currently using New Outlook and want to return to Classic Outlook; or
    • You are already using Classic Outlook, but its layout, ribbon, or message view has changed.

    If you are using New Outlook, select the toggle in the upper-right corner and choose Switch back to classic Outlook. You can also search for Outlook (classic) from the Windows Start menu. If this option is unavailable, Classic Outlook may not currently be installed on the computer.

    Please share which Outlook version you currently see, and if possible, describe which part of the previous appearance you want to restore. Thank you so much for your understanding.

    On Windows:

    Open the New Outlook app.

    Look at the top-right corner of the window for the "Try the new Outlook" toggle switch. Alternatively, click Help > Go to classic Outlook if available.

    Turn the toggle OFF.

    Choose "Switch back to classic Outlook" when prompted and provide feedback if requested.

    Note: If you cannot find the toggle or classic Outlook does not open, open your Windows Start menu, search for Outlook (classic), or reinstall the classic desktop application from your Microsoft 365 account portal.

    On Mac:

    Open Outlook for Mac.

    Click on Help in the top menu bar.

    Select Revert to Legacy Outlook (or toggle off the New Outlook option if available in your version).
