    Hi, @Alice Wynn

Do you mean the mouse pointer stops moving and only starts responding again after you click the RollerMouse, or is the roller bar/button itself physically sticking?

If you haven't already, unplug the RollerMouse Pro3 and connect it directly to another USB port on the PC, without using a USB hub or docking station. Then restart the PC.

Also, Contour provides its current Windows 11 driver here: https://www.contourdesign.com/support/drivers

Note: There is a non-Microsoft link included in this response. The Contour support page appears to provide accurate and safe information. There are no ads, but if any appear, please thoroughly research any product advertised before deciding to download and install it.

If the issue still persists, to help narrow down the issue:

    1. Does the same problem happen if you connect the RollerMouse Pro3 to another computer?
    2. Does a regular mouse work normally on this Windows 11 PC?

    Try these steps in order:

    1. Check the mouse power and batteries.
      • Turn the mouse off and back on.
      • If it uses batteries, replace them. If it is rechargeable, recharge it.
      • A weak battery can cause slow or incorrect input.
    2. Reduce possible wireless interference.
      • Turn off other Bluetooth devices connected to the PC temporarily.
      • Too many Bluetooth devices can interfere with the mouse connection.
    3. Re-pair the mouse.
      • Remove the mouse from Start > Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
      • Put the mouse into pairing mode by holding the pairing button for 5–7 seconds until the light blinks.
      • Add it again from Add Bluetooth or other device > Bluetooth.
    4. Restart the PC.
      • This refreshes the drivers, especially if updates were recently installed.
    5. Check battery level and close open apps.
      • Go to Start > Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices to check the reported battery level for Bluetooth devices.
      • Close open apps and test again. Heavy app usage can interfere with mouse responsiveness.
    6. Adjust mouse settings.
      • Go to Start > Settings > Devices > Mouse > Additional mouse options > Pointer Options.
      • Adjust the pointer speed and test whether movement feels more consistent.
    7. Check for Windows updates and driver updates.
      • Go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and install available updates.
      • To update the device driver manually: search for Device Manager, open it, find the mouse, open its Driver tab, and select Update Driver.
    8. Test the mouse on another PC.
      • If the same sticking happens on another PC, the mouse itself may need replacement.
      • If it works normally on another PC, the issue is likely with the current PC.

If the problem is only that the pointer is hard to place accurately, Windows also has a pointer visibility option at Start > Settings > Devices > Mouse > Additional mouse options > Pointer Options.
