I bought microsoft 365 in May on my old laptop, and when I log into my account on my new one its saying subscription expired in 2020... I have a receipt...and it connects to the email that says I don't have a subscription. How do I find it?

Log into any Microsoft account you may have on this link, are you able to find your Microsoft 365 subscription, if not, click Billing icon on the left, do you find your subscription payment listed there?

If not, do you pay Microsoft directly for the subscription, or do you pay for the subscription through the Apple App Store?

Check Services & subscriptions at https://account.microsoft.com/services while signed in with the exact Microsoft account used for the purchase. If the subscription is active, it should appear there.
Check order history for the same account. Order history only shows purchases for the account currently signed in. If the receipt exists but the subscription is not listed, the purchase may be tied to a different Microsoft account.
If there are other Microsoft accounts, sign in with each one and check Services & subscriptions again. A receipt connected to one email does not guarantee that the subscription is attached to that same account for activation.
Determine where the subscription was purchased:
- If Manage, Cancel, or Change payment appears on the subscription page, it is billed by Microsoft.
- If those options are missing or limited, it may be managed by a third party such as Apple, Google, Amazon, or another retailer.
If it was purchased through a third party, billing and subscription management must be handled with that provider directly. Microsoft cannot cancel, refund, or modify billing for third-party subscriptions.
If the charge came directly from Microsoft but the subscription still does not appear under any account, contact Microsoft Support and provide the receipt details privately so billing can investigate the purchase record.
If Office on the new laptop still shows an old expired subscription, sign in to Office with the Microsoft account that actually owns the active subscription after confirming it on Services & subscriptions.
