Unfortunately, Excel for Mac currently does not provide a setting to increase the formula bar’s font size independently or save a larger size as the default. Changing the worksheet’s default font only affects new workbook content, not the formula bar itself.
As a temporary workaround, you could try macOS System Settings > Accessibility > Zoom or Hover Text to magnify the formula-bar text when needed.
