What are some good prompts to get good graphics on a infographic document?

I am trying to make an infographic document for work and the graphics are elementary. I would like them to be eye appealing and work well in the document. But I am not getting that with the prompts I am using.

Use prompts that specify four things clearly: audience, content/structure, mood/style, and layout needs. For infographics, also describe the infographic type, color approach, and size before creating, then refine instead of starting over.

    Good prompt pattern:

    • Goal: what the infographic should explain
    • Audience: who it is for
    • Content and structure: number of sections, metrics, labels, timeline, comparison, or list
    • Mood and style: clean, modern, professional, bold, minimal, architectural, blue/green palette, etc.
    • Layout needs: one-page, open space for headline, short labels, icon-heavy, simple timeline
    • Source material: attach or reference existing content if available

    Examples:

    • Create a clean one-page infographic for leadership showing our 2026 priorities. Include three sections, short labels, three key metrics, and a simple timeline. Use a professional modern style with a blue and green palette and clear visual hierarchy.
    • Turn these project notes into an infographic for new employees. Highlight goals, milestones, risks, and next steps. Use concise text, strong section headings, and a polished corporate look with space for a headline.
    • Create a comparison infographic for stakeholders showing current state vs future state. Use two balanced columns, short callouts, simple icons, and a clean executive-ready design.
    • Create a goals-and-lists infographic for a team update. Use five key points, minimal text, bold headings, and a modern visual style that looks polished rather than playful.

If the graphics look too elementary, improve the prompt by adding:

    • a more specific visual style: clean architectural photography, professional narrative, polished corporate look, minimal modern design
    • stronger structure: three metrics, short labels, simple timeline
    • explicit layout guidance: open space for a headline, one-page infographic, clear sections
    • source content from OneDrive or SharePoint, or add content directly with + Add content

In Copilot Create, this workflow is supported:

    1. Open Create.
    2. Describe the infographic in detail.
    3. Optionally add existing content with + Add content.
    4. Choose Color or Brand and color.
    5. Choose Infographic type: Goals and lists, Timelines, or Comparisons.
    6. Choose Size: Portrait (720 x 1280) or Wide (1280 x 720).
    7. Select Create.
    8. Refine with Transform with AI, Edit, and Text.

    Best-practice refinements:

    • Start detailed, then iterate with follow-up prompts like: Use a warmer tone, Shorten this by half, or Visualize this table as an infographic.
    • Review generated text, numbers, and dates for accuracy before sharing.
    • If the result is close, refine it instead of recreating from scratch.
