I submitted an access request for ACT-Personal Desktop on October 14, 2026, and the current status is Pending approval. I require this VDI to perform performance testing activities for the HHT 2.0 project, including scripting, test execution, workload simulation, and performance analysis. The current Citrix environment has restrictions on installing and configuring the required performance testing tools, which is impacting my ability to proceed with the planned activities.

Could you please help identify the pending approver and confirm the expected approval and delivery timeline? As the VDI is required to proceed with my project responsibilities, I would appreciate your assistance in expediting the request.

Check My Access → Request history → ACT-Personal Desktop → View → Pending approval: Details; the current approver appears there only if the access-package policy permits approver details to be shown.^1^

    Identify and contact the approver

    1. Sign in to the My Access portal with the same work or school account used for the request.
    2. Select Request history.
    3. Open ACT-Personal Desktop by selecting View.
    4. Under Pending approval, select Details.
    5. If an approver is displayed, contact that person and provide:
      • Request date: October 14, 2026
      • Access package: ACT-Personal Desktop
      • Project: HHT 2.0
      • Business impact and required date
      • Request ID, if shown

If no approver appears, that does not prove that none is assigned; the policy might be configured not to expose approver information to requesters.^1^

Ask your organization’s Access Package Manager, Catalog owner, Access Package Assignment Manager, or Identity Governance Administrator to inspect it:

    1. Open Microsoft Entra admin center.
    2. Go to ID Governance → Entitlement management → Access packages.
    3. Open ACT-Personal Desktop → Requests.
    4. Select your pending request and review its details.
    5. Review the applicable request policy to identify the current approval stage, configured approvers or alternate approvers, and expiration deadline.

Those administrative roles can inspect package requests; completed requests also expose who approved them, the justification, and when access was delivered.^2^

    Expected approval timeline

There is no universal Microsoft Entra approval time. The access-package policy defines how long approvers have before the request expires and whether it is forwarded to alternate approvers. Forwarding can occur only after the request duration’s halfway point, no earlier than the following day, and not on the final day.^3^

If no configured approver acts before the policy deadline, the request expires and must be resubmitted. Where a stage contains multiple approvers, only one of them needs to approve it.^4^

Because the request was submitted today, October 14, 2026, its exact approval deadline must be obtained from the request details or the administrator managing the package policy.

    Delivery timeline

Approval and VDI readiness are separate milestones:

    • Entra approval authorizes the access-package assignment.
    • The request history can later show when access was delivered.^2^
    • The available documentation does not define how long your organization’s ACT-Personal Desktop provisioning, Citrix/VDI setup, software installation, or handoff takes.

Ask the VDI/service owner to provide two explicit estimates:

    1. Approval deadline from the access-package policy.
    2. VDI fulfillment SLA measured from approval to a usable desktop with the required performance-testing tools.

For escalation, send the request details and required project date to the displayed approver; if the approver is hidden, send them to the access-package owner or your internal identity/VDI service desk. Avoid cancelling and resubmitting the request unless instructed—cancellation removes the existing pending request and starts a new approval cycle when submitted again.
