A Microsoft app for iOS and Android devices that enables authentication with two-factor verification, phone sign-in, and code generation
Yes. In Microsoft Authenticator, fingerprint use is controlled by App Lock.
- Open Microsoft Authenticator.
- Go to Settings.
- Turn App Lock Off.
When App Lock is enabled, Authenticator asks for the device PIN or biometric each time the app is opened, and also when approving sign-in notifications. If biometric unlock is not available or fails, Authenticator can prompt for the PIN instead.
On Android work profiles, biometric settings may also need to be configured separately inside the work profile. Biometrics set for the regular device profile do not always carry over to the work profile.
