Hi Kevin McLean12,
Since this is a public forum, we will hide your personal identifiable information, and I have sent those links that containing your personal identifiable information in a private message so we can work together to resolve the issue. Also, please check your private message in case you want to share another screenshot or file to avoid leaking your PII by click on the Message button as show below
I can see that you’ve already shared the minidump and system logs through Google Drive. Unfortunately, I’m unable to access that link from this side, so I can’t review the files directly.
As an alternative, please open Reliability Monitor by searching for View reliability history, then select the error recorded at the time of the crash. Let me know if it shows a stop code, LiveKernelEvent, Windows hardware error or the name of a failed driver.
If you’re comfortable using WinDbg, you can also open the latest minidump, run !analyze -v and paste only these lines in your reply:
- BUGCHECK_CODE
- MODULE_NAME
- IMAGE_NAME
- FAILURE_BUCKET_ID
Before posting, please remove any personal information, including your name, email address, device serial number or file paths containing your Windows username.
Since the freezing happens during games, video playback and Alt+Tab, I’d also check the NVIDIA graphics driver provided specifically for the MSI Katana 15 B13VFK, rather than focusing only on the audio driver. The repeating “brrrr” sound may simply be the last part of the audio looping after the whole system has stopped responding.
For now, I’d avoid making registry changes or updating the BIOS until the crash details have been reviewed. Those results should give us a clearer idea of whether this is related to the graphics driver, memory or another component.
